  4. Not Travis County but a notable trial/jury verdict/jury sentencing in New Braunfels.

New Braunfels attorney Mark Adrian Clark (who was represented by Travis County defense attorney Joe James Sawyer) was convicted of child molestation of a 12 year old little girl and sentenced to seven years in prison.

    story here:

Interesting thing is Mark Clark was accused by another middle school girl of molestation in 2002, yet the then DA Dib Waldrip did not bring a prosecution at that time.

Only 7 years with those facts, and the jury hearing about the 2002 sentencing allegations during the sentencing hearing. Sounds like Joe James Sawyer did a great job defending.

Hope Mark A Clark learns his lesson and stays away from the 12 year old girls when he gets out of prison in 7 (or less) years.
