How to get a job as an ADA

I received an email from a young lawyer who is soon going for an interview at a DA's office in another state. She asked if I could maybe provide some tips for her interview.

Be glad to. But as it turns out, someone else asked that question last year.

Here's what I said.

And to the young lady who asked the question: thanks for reading, and good luck in your interview!

  1. Just to keep the hopes up of the applicant, Our office in FL pretty much only hires new attorneys. Maybe not the best policy for the office as it leads to lots of inexperience but it is good for the young lawyer who may be competing with some more seasoned attorneys. Of course it also means you are happy with less pay...
